now we do have waterjet and regular CNC's by the dozen, might do just that with a 3d printer.
the start up cost might be too much of a financial burden for the immediate future (thanks to the oilfield economy here, the smallest shop space runs $5,000 a month in leasing).
I wonder though how much metal 3d printers run.........
And look at that pedes a job is created, run a 3d print shop or a an aluminum cnc waterjet shop if you can afford it.
