I went through a period in my life where I struggled with my Christian world view because in some ways it amounts to the greatest conspiracy theory ever. A cosmic spiritual battle in an unseen world between God and Satan over our souls. I leaned in and accepted this as true well before people accepting conspiracy theories became as popular as they are now. The Bible says that the antichrist will be outed in the last days. My new theory is that this is how he will be outed. Accepting conspiracy theories will become more and more mainstream. Until one day the argument among people will not be over conspiracy theories but which one. This will simmer for a while until even the most insane conspiracy theory gains real traction:
There is a spiritual world, angels and demons do exist, and there is one who walks among us possessed by Satan doing his bidding.
While this conspiracy theory is the most crazy of them all it is serendipitously the best. (SPOILER ALERT) The end is known. God is good. He is love itself. He desires to give us immeasurable riches. And he will. He will give us the universe and all that is in it. The Bible says that we will inherit his power. We are simply in a transition period where he is fixing our mess. He is patient. The end is well worth the pain we are currently experiencing. And God is powerful enough to heal all wounds.
