I really hope you're right. I just want to get back to finishing my degree. I can't do that as long as people are using the internet as a crutch to stay locked down. I've had to take summer and now fall off of classes which has put me behind by a year. Closer to 1.5-2 years because one class is part of a series.
I have a 5th and 9th grader for this year. I hope to God that MN goes back but I don't give it more than a 5% chance at this point. What concerns me is those parents who must work, and how the heck will their kids manage? At some point we have to rip the bandage off and let this playout. Kids are not getting the education that they need distance learning.
I hear your point, but many of us believe that kids distance learning is a net positive right now haha. Public school curriculum is largely straight propaganda and twisted historical fact.
Hopefully your kids are getting a decent education and not wholly indoctrinated like so many others.
Agreed. I'm in MI now, but I grew up in MN. I seriously doubt anybody in government is concerned with education at this point. People in general don't learn, or learn well, using online methods.
About the only good thing to come from the last few months of learning at home is that so many more parents are now aware of what garbage the education system is teaching and how far behind a lot of kids are because the system is so dumbed down. We can't keep kids at home anymore and it should be blatantly obvious to everyone now that public schools aren't as good as people thought.
Even as a college student, I HATE online/hybrid classes. I hope we all can get back to normal classes for the fall. My university has confirmed there will be NO fully traditional classes this fall, but hopefully your k-12 schools open back up.
