The hate for stay-at- home-moms is real. Not only do a lot of men expect us to work now, but most of the shit talk I get comes from other women. I've been called a leech by both sexes.

My kids appreciate me though, so that's nice. (No sarcasm intended with that statement)

That's so terrible. I'm sorry. I feel so bad for your mom to hear that.

being a stay at home mom isn't for everyone, but it doesnt make a woman any lesser for being one. It's an important role and just as worthy of respect as a working mom. Maybe moreso

I'm a stay at home dad. We homeschool. We have a nice 50 acre homestead/farm. Sometimes people laugh when they find this out. Somehow they think it makes me less of a man.

I absolutely love it. I know exactly what they are being taught. They are under the watchful eye of a male role model constantly keeping them safe. They will never have to experience metal detectors and school shooter drills.

We go on field trips and day trips and vacations whenever we feel like it. They are way ahead in school and will probably have 2 years of college finished by the time they turn 18.

You are living the dream! I also grew up on a farm and really want that for my kids. Does your property generate income? Any advice on how to swing that?

Good for you! I also stayed home (my boys are older now) and I have no regrets. What I do have is a lifetime of memories (field trips, plays, parties, etc) that I would have missed out on had I decided to go back to work. As long as this is what you and your family want, ignore all the idiots. In the end, they don't matter.

ETA: I'm sure your kids love that you're home. It provides a lot of emotional security for them.

My wife is a SAHM and she has the most important role in our home. I earn money but it's just money. Comes, goes, and is forgotten.

She's shaping then future for 4 human beings.

I envy her.

I don't hear it a lot, but we live in a conservative area. We're blessed that my wife can stay at home with our kids as well!

Just remember you're doing the two most important jobs of all. Raising our future generation and pissing off liberals!

I was blessed to be a SAHM while my sons were young. Without getting into too many details, my situation changed and I had no choice but to work. My sons are wonderful you men and I know those early years with me helped shape them that way.
