FUCK NASCAR!!! Why would anyone watch a TV show or go to an event that says 91% of their audience are inherently racist? In what world does that work where the person selling their product say, right to its customers faces, that they are racist while they are buying their product?

RandallSavage 165 points ago +166 / -1

I was an avid fan until that. I have a friend that can’t comprehend why I am out. His point is Bubba Wallace is a joke and we didn’t watch for him anyways. My reply was I don’t care about him, I care about NASCAR calling its fans racists and allowing everyone to tee off on their fanbase as being hick racists and doing nothing about it. Well they did do something, they had a completely fake “unifying” moment for a garbage driver who was forcing tears out. Pathetic sport, I’ve been out since it was first reported.

K-Harbour 68 points ago +69 / -1

Your friend would not see it as a joke when your friend realizes the real-world deaths and real-world injuries associated with the thoughtless bandwagoning by corporations.

Yes.

But it started with Andrew Murstein, who is Bubba's boss and who has some shady connections with the Clintons...that is, anti-American globalist crooks. I wouldn't be surprised if he bought RPM just to destroy NASCAR.

And Steve Phelps, who is willing to sell NASCAR out to whatever trend in popular culture he can jump on and milk for money.

They must both go.

DoYouBelieveInMAGA 14 points ago +15 / -1

I was actually considering getting into NASCAR as sort of a last resort. Then this happened. Oh well, I think stock car is pretty gay anyway.

Hockey and UFC it is.

LibertyStillMatters 58 points ago +58 / -0

That’s what I noticed. NASCAR was more than complicit to let media tee off on how the sport is viewed by racists and how the noose was just conformation of what all the ‘elites’ in the media always knew. Then things turned out to be a hoax, Bubba gave some interviews and still pushed racism, and fans are to be OK with this? I know there is emotional attachment to these sports and sport franchises, but they don’t care about you and only value your money. We are seeing in real-time being called to worst things and expected to take it so they can keep their profit margins on the up and up. Shameful really.

23
RandallSavage 23 points ago +24 / -1

Exactly, fans are supposed to be okay with it. I am not okay with it, so I am no longer a fan. The shit that Jemele Hill said, based on a hoax no less, was egregious and NASCAR didn’t defend it one. NASCAR has finally caved to battered wife syndrome. If they accept that their fans are racist the beatings might stop. Spineless bastards.

She’s the exact one I had in mind. If NASCAR has balls or cared about their fans, they would sue for defamation.

8

Honestly I am not going to be a snowflake and need the love of NASCAR. They are a business and I am a customer. Its simple. Its when they cater to new audiences by doing the stupid that I have a problem. Just be a business already and concentrate on your customers.

5
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 5 points ago +5 / -0

Shameful but at least they've made it an easy decision. For all their talk about muh corporations, the left worships them. We generally don't. Kick em to the curb. Easy peasy

28
TheThreeSeashells 28 points ago +30 / -2

I have a friend that can’t comprehend why I am out.

This is the same problem with [INSERT THING CONSERVATIVES SHOULD WALK AWAY FROM]. Particularly the NFL. It's so easy to quit it entirely, yet Conservatives and normies who are also being insulted make up excuses not to do the right thing.

11
conryf 11 points ago +13 / -2

I'm guilty of this. I quit NFL for that one season. But damn, I love my broncos. Now though, if they do all the shit they are saying, its over. Sucks though cause I don't know where to go. But you're right, If a business of any kind treats you like shit, you can't go back or you're asking for it. That's part of how all this got so bad.

13
RichardKimball 13 points ago +14 / -1

The Broncos put out the tweet for BLM that said, "if you're not with us, you're against us."

7
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 7 points ago +8 / -1

So to the above poster, your choices are now 1) Be a cuck or 2) say fuck it. I quit the NFL and I'm getting ready to quit college because I know what's coming. You'll see how easy it is. I guarantee I used to watch more and talk about it more than 95% of posters on this board. I used to publish multiple mock drafts and get paid to write fantasy columns. I was pretty damn good, too, if I do say so myself. Used to rewatch games. It's a shit product nowadays, and they hate me. Not much to think about. I hope the league dies. Only way to get a better replacement.

5
tombombadil 5 points ago +5 / -0

Easily the most entertaining pro sport to watch. The players are all tough as nails. Trash talking and fist fighting is a part of the game. Hardly any stoppages of play. The suspense is constant. The playoffs are as big as the NBA playoffs, but are more unpredictable than any other sport.

6
TheThreeSeashells 6 points ago +7 / -1

Sucks though cause I don't know where to go.

I walked away five years ago, but still wanted to watch some football as I enjoy the game. I turned to college football instead. The game is more entertaining even if their method for determining the championship is still problematic. Plus, GEOTUS received a rousing welcome at the BCS Championship game. Same for when he showed up to the Army/Navy game and the regular season Alabama/LSU game.

4
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Why though?

Like, really think about it; why do you love a random set of people who change yearly?

2
conryf 2 points ago +2 / -0

It kind of local pride, also tradition. I bonded with my dad as broncos fans, and have bonded with my son.

9
RandallSavage 9 points ago +10 / -1

NFL was very easy for me to quit. I hate my pathetic team as much as I hate the league, so I wasn’t giving up much. I am a Jaguars fan. Our players knelt for the National Anthem in London but stood for God Save the Queen. It doesn’t really get any worse than that. Although I suppose when they stand for this black anthem and then kneel for the National Anthem it probably will be about as low as you can get.

7
TheThreeSeashells 7 points ago +8 / -1

I'm sure they'll find a way to get lower. The morons always do.

5
RandallSavage 5 points ago +5 / -0

Absolutely. Hell we are 3 months away from the season even starting. At this rate Roger Goodell will be announcing that they will burn a flag before every game while they play the black anthem.

Dunno how old you are, but when I was a kid, holy crap, the Cowboys-Redskins rivalry was insane. That was the 70s/80s, laughed like hell when Harvey Martin threw the funeral wreath in the Redskins locker room after a game. The Skins got their share of wins, too, which made it a great rivalry. Those days are long gone.

2
RichardKimball 2 points ago +2 / -0

I WAS a Cowboys fan, and Don Meredith was the QB when I started following them. Jerry Jones cured me of that addiction, cause I realized I wasn't an NFL fan, I was a Cowboys fan, and Tom Landry, Roger Staubach, and Drew Pearson weren't coming back.
Also got tired of four hour games with eleven minutes of action and two hours of commercials.

NASCAR has been struggling for years. They can't even fill the stands anymore.

I started losing interest when they dropped North Wilksboro and started going to these fuck boring cookie cutter tracks.

I just want to remind everyone that anywhere you live, in the lower 48 anyway, there is a short track near you that needs your support. They are all full Americana as it gets. A bunch of guys who work during the week and race on the weekends.

5
Apersonofinterest 5 points ago +6 / -1

I watch the Isle of Mann TT race every year because that shit is downright harrowing. Screaming through neighborhood streets at 150 mph on a motorcycle has me on the edge of the seat the whole time. Someone always dies in that race.

I also enjoy the off-road racing where the fans are just standing on the side of the track and occasionally one of those cars flips and wipes out 5 to 10 of them.

8
HotNismo 8 points ago +9 / -1

Unfortunately Bubba will have a ride as long as Richard Petty has someone else's money to blow through.

NOOSECARs problems are older and deeper than Bubba or Phelps though. The cars no longer meet any stock specs, half the races are at awful tracks over a 1000 miles from NOSECARs fanbase while Wilkseboro and Rockingham rot, NBC has a say so in when and where race dates are set... National expansion killed the sport.

It isn’t a black issue. It’s a breakdown of American black families. No father in the home. All the other problems Candace O outlines better than I.

39
booblitchutz 39 points ago +40 / -1

That’s such a small cohort in relation to the usual mass of fans. Football WAS a fall tradition. The sound of it on the TV was as synonymous with fall and family that it has transcended sport and become cultural. That’s why people hurt so badly when the NFL started going in with the “America is racist” bullshit.

Now it’s changed. NFL is spiteful, petty. Many not only don’t watch it, but also actively hate on it. Look at the ratings, the ticket #s. It’s not flatline but it’s dented to shit. Will be worse this year.

24
Djt2029 24 points ago +25 / -1

Our 10 year fantasy football league is coming to an end this year due to this. I have no interest in supporting or watching it anymore. I went to a game last year and realized its mostly fat, drunks whose best thing going for them are the 16 Sundays they get every year to be fat, drunk, and yell at grown ass men all making millions. I really only enjoyed it to appreciate the athleticism, wasn't one of those queers whose week was ruined cause his team lost.

Well, how they gonna play Footy-ball this year with half the stadiums being in the same states telling small business they cant be open and to social distance? I mean afterall, football season is literally during REAL flu-season. How they gonna play off the mass-deaths from corona during winter next year and keep football? Someone is losing fucking ground here. Sure they can do a stream of just the players on the field, but something tells me that is much less revenue than what a stadium trip pulls in.

21
ManyDirt 21 points ago +22 / -1

They'll just let them be open and no one will say anything. Every day I see people bitching about someone at some restaurant or grocery store not wearing a mask but nothing regarding the riots. It's just a political cudgel at this point, the virus is only a small component of why things are the way they are.

10
Mr-J 10 points ago +11 / -1

Well see, when they start having football games with lots of people, then the media loses covid ground and more people ignore plandemic. So, either the NFL dies or COVID.

Remember when the NFL made players wear pink armbands to raise breast cancer awareness?

As anyone familiar with him knows, Bill Burr is a HUGE football fan and has been for decades. He records and watches every single game, and he also watches a lot of college football. He's been saying for a few years now that women are killing football. He even talked about it on an episode of Conan. You could tell it was making Conan a little uncomfortable. And it's true: a couple of years back some NBC executive admitted that they are trying to make sports more appealing to women because that's where the big advertising bucks are.

6
LibertyStillMatters 6 points ago +6 / -0

I believe it. Executives did the same thing with nerd shit like Star Wars and comic book movies. Female centered starts and strong men taking backseat roles or becoming massively flawed characters.

5
flashersenpai 5 points ago +5 / -0

We need to equalize the spending gap. Women are spending more money than they earn. It's sexism.

10
axrevolutionai 10 points ago +11 / -1

also classism, plenty of rich liberal jerks are into football just to flex season tickets and private tailgates

as someone decidedly middle class, going to an okay Texans game with even OK seats has always been out of reach. Cheap Astros and Rockets tickets have always been decent views and good match ups

9
TheThreeSeashells 9 points ago +10 / -1

Dudes that couldn't fucking throw a football or baseball, all of a sudden became experts- analyzing every aspect of the game.

Funny that THIS is what's destroying baseball long before the SJW crowd got them, too. GMs who have never actually played the game screwed the sport up with moronic shifts, stupid lineups, endless pitching changes, etc. They're even embracing batters striking out because it might mean five more home runs at some point in the season. Meanwhile it only resulted in an event where you basically just wait around for home runs, cheer for two minutes, then go back to watching guys strikeout.

They don't even realize that airing all those old "classic" games from the 80s and 70s during the scam shutdown only made baseball fans realize how the game turned into a crap product.

6
6
TheThreeSeashells 6 points ago +7 / -1

It's always these fat, filthy looking pieces of garbage, too. It's also funny because I've noticed a lot of the worst examples end up covering the A's. I got into a twitter argument with one of them (when I was still on the platform) because he didn't like an article about Aroldis Chapman that used "firing bullets" in reference to his fastball.

I asked him if that meant we have to call out every historical use of that metaphor dating back to the start of baseball or remove the nicknames of Joe Bush and Bob Turley. You could immediately tell he had no idea who those players were and didn't understand that "firing bullets" is a pretty common metaphor. This is because he was a fat, sweaty nerd who never picked up a baseball in his life and had no idea what it meant to actually play the game. He probably spends more time in front of a calculator than actually watching the game.

It turned out that his "signature" thing was waddling up to baseball players with an old, unopened pack of baseball cards and a camera and watching them react to opening them up to see what cards were inside. He was running these articles DURING the baseball season. I could see saving these for December and January when there's nothing to write about, but THIS is the best he could muster during an actual season? On any given day of a baseball season I could easily write at least three articles on something that happened that day. These fat, lazy nerds are killing sports because they don't understand what makes them appealing. Hint: It has nothing to do with calculators.

5
flashersenpai 5 points ago +5 / -0

From a game design perspective, it sounds like the sport became optimized for the players rather than the spectators. Bad rule set.

4
TheThreeSeashells 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's a good way to look at it. It's true. The Tampa Bay Rays are the prime example. They fill they entire roster with mediocre bench players, employ ridiculous shifts and unnecessarily change pitchers when the computer tells them to do so. They also began the stupid idea of using relievers to start games which is colossally boring for fans.

It was so bad, the do-nothing commissioner actually took some steps to keep them in check.

Spectator sports appeal to men's naturally competitive nature and camaraderie and divert them into an unhealthy, time wasting hobby that idolizes and makes other men rich. Ok, thanks. The way OP worded it I envisioned that some team or whatever made a joke Trump 2020 car that was all busted and beat up or something. Appears OP may have knee-jerked a bit as it appears to be an actual race team that is supportive of GEOTUS and not a 'Nascar' stunt as an organization.

My natipnal news says it was true but it was installed months ago. Not at the time he discovered it. Where could I more about this ?

3
rubberkidney 3 points ago +3 / -0

i mean its def not true. its literally a tiny loop to put your finger through to pull the garage door down and was present on all the doors.

the thing that really shows that it was a knowing hoax was when interviewed wallace claimed that he had not even seen the noose but was just told about it. literally everyone has cameras in their pockets and there are cameras all over the building and he wasnt even curious enough to LOOK AT something that people were claiming was a hate crime?

so he was fine with going on national tv and blaming racism but wasnt even curious enough to directly see what the whole thing was about? sorry. full on hoax. thats before you consider that he briefly tried to double down after it was revealed to be a fraud.

hes just lucky that its was as blatant and stupid as jussie smollets hoax hate crime, he can still try to pretend it was an innocent mistake and the media will cover for him.

I am a southerner, never flown the stars and bars in my life, figured it was mainly for Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts and country boys proud of their southern heritage. Never once have I looked at it as flipping the bird to black people. I am going to display it proudly any damn time I want now.

17
LibertyStillMatters 17 points ago +18 / -1

That’s how the overwhelming number of southerners saw it. The Stars and Bars was just the leftists first foray into removing American culture and identity. If you told folks back in the 2000s that supported the removal, that in 2020 we’d be removing presidents, abolishinists, Catholic saints and Christopher Columbus they would say you are crazy. And here we are. The slippery slope is real. Give the Marxists an inch and they will take a country mile.

7
Tusculan2 7 points ago +8 / -1

A-men. Nikki Haley symbolizes this weak unprincipled viewpoint.

10
Southern_Belle 10 points ago +12 / -2

Same here.

I want one.

The meaning has changed for me. Now it means, screw the establishment (globalists). The South will rise again!

And I'm serious about the South. We are the birthplace of true American culture. The Africans contributed to our music -- there would be no country music without the banjo, which came over from Africa.

There would be no rock without blues.

If these globalists would leave us alone, we'd all get along...and we do get along down here better than many people imagine.

2
JerseyGreekPatriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeh bullshit, whites invented nearly every single instrument, recording device, mixing board, analog equipment, tape, casette, mics, audio effects. Also the banjo didn't come from Africa, it is very similair to Bouzouki popular in Greek music and likely had origins in Persia.

5
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 5 points ago +6 / -1

I am going to display it proudly any damn time I want now.

This is still AMERICA!!!

3
unable_afternoon 3 points ago +3 / -0

it’s just the regional flag of the south. I’m reminded of that video of Angela Markel taking away a german flag from a fellow german politician. He was waving it around and she snatched it up and put it away. Her loyalty is to the European Union, and how does she view the german flag? Does it represent the german people, ancestry, and countless years of german culture and tradition? No, to her Germany is just holocaust & evil nazis and that’s it, and to have national pride is just one step away from seceeding from the union.
Another similarity is that before the civil war America was referred to as plural rather than singular, so if we were going to war they would say “the United States are going to war”. Before the civil war America was viewed similarly to how the European Union is viewed, rather than as typical single country.

NASCAR has had it coming for quite some time. Their rule revisions have taken the spirit of the sport away. I will also say I believe the assault on NASCAR is a continued assault on southern culture. Take the "good ol boys" out of the broadcast booth, promote northeastern or California drivers, take away legendary tracks from the circuit to promote races at northern speedways and now remove the Southern Cross. NASCAR is letting it be known that the fan who made NASCAR a national sport is no longer welcome. I just want to know what will NASCAR do when their "new" fans discover their hero Bubba Wallace is a middle of the pack driver with no races won or laps led this season?

2
Imitate214 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, he did get his highest career finish yesterday. He finished 9th at the Brickyard 400.

4
Slash78 4 points ago +4 / -0

No he finished 2nd at the Daytona 500 in 2018.. that was a fluke thanks to a wreck caused by the guy who won but it's biggest success.

1
ConsrvspkgNJ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep and that's because nearly half the field wrecked out because they weren't used to Pit Road at Indy. He will go back to finishing 18th or 23rd like he usually does at Bristol and Texas.

2
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

fan who made NASCAR a national sport is no longer welcome.

Yep. The fans that spend the money !!!

4
ConsrvspkgNJ 4 points ago +4 / -0

Really? The fans who used to fill Bristol, make Daytona a sellout in both Spring and Fall races? The fans who made Dover a tough ticket? Those Southern Cross waving rednecks used to camp at the track beginning Thursday night so they could go to the XFinity race, the Truck race and the Cup Series race. Nope, NASCAR doesn't like those fans....they like the white wine drinking, quiche eating SJW fans. What happens when those fans get bored because they feel they have cured the societal ills of the world and they move on because their hero will never win a race?

2
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not all the drivers. But yeah the whole series is held hostage by that whiny cunt Lewis Hamilton. He's like Kaepernick, but actually good at his sport.

11
Tellsyouhow 11 points ago +11 / -0

I saw some guy on Twitter saying he was in school with Hamilton, who's Dad is white English and mother is Black Jamaican.

It was an expensive posh school and he got dropped off in a Range Rover everyday until he was expelled for bullying.

Some hardship poor under privileged Hamilton has, with his millions in offshore accounts, private jet and banging pussycat dolls

7
Itateeverybody 7 points ago +8 / -1

He is a spoiled brat. Him purposely crashing Albon while getting passed is proof positive of it. I wish the other drivers would just tell him to fuck off and ostracize him.

3
DudeThatCame2Sarnath 3 points ago +3 / -0

4
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not all the drivers. But yeah the whole series is held hostage

Yep that’s what terrorists do !

3
Southern_Belle 3 points ago +3 / -0

Those mulattoes really need to get their act together.

Remember Haiti?

They killed the whites then they went for the mulattoes.

No appeasing terrorists.

BTW, I am mulatto, too. (And hillbilly.) I used to be biased toward Hamilton and Wallace. Now I'm just disappointed.

2
Itateeverybody 2 points ago +3 / -1

I honestly don't understand Hamilton. That guy has lived a life only few could dream of thanks mostly in part to having an affluent white dad. To be lectured about oppression by a millionaire who drives in a hyper rich person sport while I'm drawing up a budget each month really makes me resentful of anything he has to say.

Wallace on the other hand is a mediocre driver and had nothing to lose by stirring up controversy. Either way, both of them could take a page out of Kimi Raikonnen's book and just shut up and let their driving do their talking.

2
DudeThatCame2Sarnath 2 points ago +2 / -0

My uncle is a huge fanatic when it comes to Nascar. He goes to every race when it's in Kansas. But this charade ended it for him. I think a bunch of people like him will do the same. The NFL is going that route as well. About the only sport I can watch now is golf. The great thing about golf is that you have to be a smart, well spoken, person to be a professional. Tiger Woods has been called an uncle Tom because he doesn't side with all this social justice shit. Stephen A Smith wants him to be an advocate for black people, but tiger is a very intelligent person. I don't know that tiger votes, but I almost guarantee it's for Trump.
