Not even sure about that. I think the school choice program combined with a smattering of private schools allowing different curriculum and a legit choice of what kids can actually learn. Maybe put some form of standardized testing to ensure a minimum knowledge and I think we got something.

I think we could ditch the department of re-education as well. Clearly, we can't do much worse than what's already being taught. Also, we need to be able to hold parents accountable for their child's behavior.

Oh agreed. I'm thinking privately run institutions would be more free to set their discipline levels. But yeah holding parents accountable you would think would incentivise people to raise their kids a bit better. Pretty sad anyone would need incentive but the circus has engulfed us.
