One of my friends is a nurse and she has had 5 positive tests in 2 months with zero symptoms..... so does that count as 5 Covid cases?

Yup. As long as each test was done on a different day, it’s 5 statistical cases. As I understand it anyway.

This is a good thing. Increasing the denominator makes the fatality rate calculate lower, closer to the 0.2% that it really is.
