Literally on the fourth of July 2 says ago, I was grilling in my front yard, and a neighbor walking by commented on my stars and stripes pants I always wear on the fourth.
"You shouldn't wear those right now, considering what's going on"
Me "what is going on?"
"You know, with all that's going on, some people don't see the flag that way"
Me: "yea, they are free to their opinion, I am free to disagree with it"
.... They kind of just stood there a few minutes and walked off
Not that it was some big "gotcha", but literally this person didn't seem to think I was allowed an opinion, and faced with that fact, had zero retort.
