I'm a white guy that grew up without a father and I was a real piece of shit until probably my mid 20s when I really began to question why I was the way i was. My mom is an amazing woman that sacrificed and worked her ass off to feed us but I caused trouble and hung out with other awful people (all of them also fatherless) and all around really fucked up my youth. I've experienced and seen first hand what not having a father does to teenagers of all races, it's not an issue that's mutually exclusive to the black community.

Not exclusive but certainly prevalent and the root cause of the behavior that needs to be addressed before they can move forward.
