Pedes, I don't want kids. My girlfriend doesn't either. I just see no personal value in it, and only see the drudgery of utter dependence for a time span measured in decades.
On the other hand, I understand the necessity of making the kind of people we want to be in our communities (but this feels like a fucking terrible reason to procreate).

If that's actually how you think then just don't have kids. You'd probably end up being an absentee parent, either emotionally or mentally, and end up doing all kinds of harm.
Some people just aren't cut out to be parents, it sucks but at least you and your girlfriend are on the same page
