Curiously, and almost inexplicably, children raised by widows do just as well as children raised by two parents. It's almost as if the father is still in the home with the child during those most important times.

I’m sorry you lost your husband, but it sounds like you’re doing his memory proud in how you’ve raised your son. I could know nothing else about you but these few comments (well, and the fact that you’re on here...) and know that your boy very is lucky to have you.

Widows don’t curse the fathers existence and complain about them being a lazy slob. It’s just as important to have a Father as it is for a Mother and Father to love each other and not speak against each other.

If I were a kid again, I would have feared a dead dad more than a living dad. My dead dad would have been watching me from heaven.

I think keeping the idea that God is watching your every move, every thought, every word, is a good thing for society in general.
