I just wanna say thank you! All of you are amazing! I was in a very dark place before I found this site last month... You have brought me so much joy and been a true light in this dark tunnel. I lost everything due to COVID lockdowns and have to stay with my parents. The terrorists have caused my state to go backwards on reopening so now I'm super screwed! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ YUGE THANK YOU to everyone for all the memes and general humor that always makes my day and helps me escape πŸ™ πŸ™

Lots of love frens! Carry on! ❀ πŸ₯° πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 😘 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Edit: WOW! Thanks for all the love pedes! ❀ I truly appreciate it! πŸ™πŸ₯°

Nice. I'm in locked down Los Angeles; we've been this way since March.

Same in my state πŸ˜” I was one of the unlucky ones that couldn't get on unemployment cause I had to leave my job temporarily before COVID hit to take care of my parents. Had enough money to get to March when I was gonna go back to work but then the lockdowns happened and now even my savings is gone. All of this is such BS! If only I could sue to get some of it back!

It is awful. Out here, there are lots of jobs for delivery people (and who knew, Larry Flint's casino is hiring) but not too much else.

My Mother knows someone whose son is working for Postmates (he was laid off from a restaurant job) and he actually likes it since it is quick money.

I wish you luck; this WuFlu bullshit is really getting old.

I know life may seem shitty today, but please remember that it always works out in the end.

Someone taught me the '10-10-10 Rule' some time ago, to help dealing with decisions and hardships that seem inescapable..

  • How will this affect me in the next 10 days?
  • How will this affect me in the next 10 months?
  • How will this affect me in the next 10 years?

I like framing crap in life that way because it allows me to see light at the end of the tunnel!

Life is good. Cheers! <3

Stay strong. The bad times are temporary and morning is coming. You're an angel for caring for your parents. Keep making choices that you can look back on with pride.

What is it you do for a living, if I can ask? NOTE: We don't need your name or any of that, but I am wondering if remote work is a possibility, or working at the nearest Amazon Warehouse or such.

They're trying to force us all to pitch our tent in CHAZ

You might be able to qualify as a caregiver for a family member and get paid by the state to take care of them if they have Medicare. I would suggest you look into it. While you're at home taking care of your folks, you need to get paid.

Ya, I've been trying to be listed as a caregiver for months but they're taking forever to do anything and let me know what else they need. Calling is useless cause even if I get through I get put on hold for hours and then hung up on. It's ridiculous.

Aren't there multiple agencies you can go to in order to get certified? Maybe you need to find a new agency.

You aren’t alone. This lockdown has hit me below the belt too. I also have to help my parents on a daily basis. But good things will happen to people like us who actually care. I’m a firm believer in karma good and bad. Children who care enough to take care of their parent are extremely rare now a day. So seriously be proud of yourself! You’re truly one of a kind!

They're trying that here in Oregon... and outside the lefty shizaholes? Even the state troopers are giving the governor a big fat (and in the troopers' case, literal) "fuck you".

Hope for us yet...

It does. And CA actually has a significant number of Red areas; lots of Kern County and much of California north of Sacramento remains based.
