Like the FLU. It hits about 60 million Vaccinated Americans last year but we did not test all of them. We tested about 2 million to extrapolate a death rate.

They science deniers will require that 60 million americans get tested for Covid before this is over. We will have the most studied human test of a virus ever.

Accuracy of tests would be required for a start. The fog of medicine.

commanderwin 7 points ago +7 / -0

Actually, the positive tests they are reporting aren’t just counting currently sick people. They are co-mingling positive tests with positive antibody tests (people who had covid months ago and are now recovered). Hence the current “spike.”

DonJr2024 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fuck I bet your'e right. Got a clear article on that?

The strain is less deadly, they count any covid symptom as a covid case, they test 700k a day vs 150k earlier. All total bullshit.

2
DonJr2024 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ok that's reason #1. Now add reason #2: there is no spike in cases. They're testing 700k a day vs 150k at the peak. AND they fucking now count you as covid based on sypmtoms and merely being around a covid positive person - even if they are asymptomatic.

It is TOTAL bullshit that they report anything other than "Phew the threat seems to have mostly passed. Enjoy your fucking summer."

ZERO children in the State of California have died form this. Less likely is a bit of an overstatement

In the US School age children are less than a 10th of a percent of all the deaths and even those are questionable Covid or FLU since FLU looks and kills the same way.

2
TheTPL 2 points ago +2 / -0

ZERO children in Virginia as well. Meanwhile, the Flu actually kills them every single year despite there being a readily available vaccine for it. The only groups that need to be concerned about the "Rona" are younger people with blood issues (Especially hypertension and diabetes), maybe some with lung issues (although so far it doesn't appear to be as bad with the death rate), and of course Senior Citizens.

It really doesn't take much thought.

The rise in new cases is due to the protests, which consists of younger and generally healthier people. They aren't going to die, and they aren't going to be sent to nursing homes (we hope).

The virus itself becomes less lethal over time as well; people become even less likely to die.

Treatments are better known now.

Why would you hope they won't? "Nursing" homes mean medical care, and with hospitals paralyzed by the crushing patient load of the horrifying apocalyptic global pandemic that threatens every human on Earth it's the most logical place to send them. Right? Right? The fact that a nursing home's residents will die in vast numbers as a result is somewhat sad, but what's a governor to do? --- Andrew Cuomo

bobobob 5 points ago +5 / -0

You're completely accurate at least for the Minnesota data that I'm tracking.

There is currently a spike in cases for people between the ages 6-19 and 20-29 years old. This spike seems to have started roughly two weeks after the protests/riots at the end of May. All other age groups are on a continued decline in case numbers.

Deaths are continuing to decline in older populations and are almost non-existent in younger populations.

[responds in Stewie] REALLY? YOU DON'T KNOW WHY?
it's because people have these things called immune systems and they are handling most infections just fine. it's the people with weakened immune systems that have trouble and get symptoms. it's really not hard to understand

I'm sure that breaks their hearts

Nice staged photo. It takes six salary people to move one sick person in a giant hospital room bed through an outside alley loading dock?

Oh, that based on arrest records, most of the people who are getting infected at the riots are between the ages of 20-30 years old?

And this set of people will almost certainly survive COVID-19? Or even be asymptomatic?

Though, to be honest, I'm kind of surprised that I don't see progressive mom and pop getting infected when their little dear comes home with a new pair of Nikes and a case of COVID.

More people being tested = more recorded cases. Doesn't mean the virus is any more lethal than the 99.7% survival rate we had from the beginning. Vox is fucking garbage

To anyone who was following this from the begining and watching the DAILY briefings back in the beginning of this bullshit: THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN AND EXACTLY WHAT TRUMP AND PENCE SAID.

2
Bramble 2 points ago +2 / -0

If we tested in April how we test now, we would have seen 100x as many cases as we do today.

We need to a regression analysis based on current mortality rates.

2
Bluestorm83 2 points ago +2 / -0

There was roughly a 10 day lag between case rise and death rise throughout the entire "Debacle Phase" of Covid-19 (This is what I am calling the time when Cuomo and Wolf and the other Democrat Governors sent infected into the Nursing Homes, as well as when "Death With Covid," even if the cause of death was a GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE HEAD was counted not as homicide, but as Covid.)

As such, you'd think that with this new Surge in cases, we'd see a similar 10 day lag, maybe 15 day even to be on the safe side (Remember, that's how long they said we'd be closed to slow the spread! They said that 114 days ago! Keep Track!) But we're almost twice as long as that now, since they started crying about this second wave. And deaths are STILL FALLING.

Covid has burned out. It was never nearly as deadly as they told us, even in the most vulnerable age bracket. Like customers have been saying to me more and more "This will not stop until after the election."

What's going on is that 16 out of those 17 cases are unconfirmed bullshit cases with no testing done. And even those deaths are bullshit cause they can say it's covid without a test.

Ahh the old agree into an I don't know. They've been studying Tim Pool's routine.

Next is what's going on with the stock markets. With everything shut down it's very strange indeed.

Does anyone else hear a wooshing sound?

1
texascpa 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not strange you retards. It's solely because the amount of testing we're doing. The infected were probably just as high back in March, April and May but we didn't have the level of testing. We sure as hell knew the number of deaths, though, because you were all jumping for joy at the increasing numbers.
