So why does it look like Biden is ahead when that seems impossible? Maybe he is. But I have an alternate theory. The pollsters try to get a representative sample of Democrats and Republicans. What if the past few months have so revealed who democrats are that same people are no longer admitting to being democrat? Wouldn't that make the pollsters over represent the insane people who still choose to call themselves democrats?
Maybe that is too obvious and something the pollsters already check for, but couldn't something like that be happening? Something which makes a "representative" sample actually be very unrepresentative?
every poll in 2016 overrepresented Democrats. obviously the same thing happening here (possibly in combination with what you suggest)

I'd say the better theory is the unhinged left, always showing their true colors have scared a lot of people responding to pollsters. Think about it. If I'm going to actually take the time to take with a pollster, who has my phone number, why tell them the truth? So my mailbox can get run over, my car keyed or I get hit in the head with a bike lock? Fucking Democrats do this every election year, they have a little hissy fit, wreck and destroy a bunch of shit and scare people in the process. People know they have the ultimate say at the ballot box and they're afforded protections to vote. Until actual voting, hell no, I wouldn't tell anyone i don't know who I'm voting for.
As others ahve already stated, the polls are fake. They use misleading questions, oversample the groups they want to hear (dems) and then ignore all evidence that doent get them the right result.
Why?
makes it easier to pull off fraud, if Trump is plloing 10 points behind, who is going to beleive a few fake ballots made a difference. You will see as election nears, to retain some credibility, the polls always tighten so the real result is closer to the polling data.
Even if they cant pull off a fraud, the poor polling, will demoralize the less commited, sometimes the ones needed to push it over the top.
even if they fail to pull a fraud, and fail to suppress the vote (look at 2016), RINOs can point ti the poor polling and the fasle idea that Trump (or whoever is the target) is unpopular and therefore has no mandate. That gives other RINOs (McConnell, Romney, McCaskill etc.) the political cover to oppose Trump and say its what thoer voters really want.
Number 3 is really probaly the biggest in my opinion, the ramifications of a permanent lame duck staus is the most dangerous weapon against a democraticly elected government. It effectively neuters the election.
Yeah the fraud banner is hype.
