There are unbelievable amounts of bullshit masters degrees that are exclusively marketed to foreign students. You will see entire masters programs where the entire class is foreign. Students view these programs as their ticket to a H1B. Universities view the students as an ATM. As someone hiring, one of these masters degrees is like a felony listed on your resume. I actually feel bad for any American students who get caught up in this credentialing scam. They literally incinerated their cash and made their resume less attractive.

I did get one American born Asian who completed one of these bullshit degrees at the behest of their parents wishes and on their federal contractors dime. The contractor could charge more for a masters degree employee and paid for the program. They said they barely put any effort in while doing a full time remote degree and still working full time at the contractor.
