There should be an amendment to restrict immigration to a quota system for a foreseeable future. Take this from a LEGAL immigrant. TOO FEW immigrants assimilate !!!
I generally don't mind legal immigration, but I can't see any other way really. Too many illegals influencing and impacting this country. We can't afford to take in more when we have so many homeless and no way to help them.
I have nothing against anyone who comes legally -- but maybe it really is time to put a stay on it, say for the next four years.
Quota = zero immigrants for a decade, at least. Demographics will destroy western civilization, and literally the future of humanity, if we don't get a handle on this.
It helps that we didn't hand in our guns. Worse case we can always dissolve the union and reform it minus California, Oregon, NY, and Western Washington.
That's honestly not the most elegant solution. It achieves the solution of demographic destiny while destroying a lot of American exceptionalism in the form of technological and medical advancement. To say nothing of economic advancement.
You can poach the best and brightest from other countries. Just force them to take a values test and make their kids take one while growing up. Denmark does this already.

How about we just end immigration for a few years until we can deport all of the illegals that are already here?
That isn't necessary if we follow existing law.
