I know you're joking, but that paycheck is equivalent to about $8.50/ton in 2020 dollars for a total of $750.
If that's a day's hard work, that's great pay, but that's probably more like a week. I don't see anyone shoveling near 100 tons in a day, but I can see 20. I recently had 8 yards of topsoil delivered and spread it myself and that stuff is about a ton per yard and it took me the better part of a day and I was beat by the end of it. A lifetime laborer would probably do close to 20 a day IMO.
