It's an app under control of the CCP that has been proven to be spying on American citizens. This is a national security issue. You can't argue that about just a Breitbart app in good faith.
Then we do, and we make our case to the American people. If demogogues and censorship and letting our country be ripped apart by foreigners is what they are selling, I will take that challenge on. There is money to be made doing the opposite of what these demons want. As the man says: America is a business
Like if Dems get power and they wanna ban a conservative app, they might.
They don't have power and they've virtually done that already with their shadow banning and Conservative censorship/purges. How long should that continue without any pushback?
Fair point. I'd contend those businesses are working in conjunction with government entities to enact their censorship/purges. They're straddling the line. We already know the incestual relationship between politicians/government workers and the media. It's been mapped out plenty of times. The same goes for social media. It's just not as obvious because they're not stupid/brazen enough to broadcast it for the world to see.
Sort of...but those private businesses were granted unique legal protections under Section 238. The sort of protection they received is usually reserved for municipal monopolies and utilities. In this case, those protections actually created the monopoly. Section 238 had strict requirements for these companies to adhere to, unfortunately they were allowed to place their thumbs on the scales in the Obama administration. This was allowed because social media/big tech was heavily integrated into the Obama political machine, and the Obama administration was waging an all out war on grassroot conservatism in order to get reelected. In 2016, it was evident that big tech, social media, and the DNC has basically merged as personnel metriculated freely between the Clinton campaign and the panoply of tech and media companies.

The left doesn’t argue in good faith 😞

Fuck these wealth destroying cunts
No, the constitution protection doesn't apply to foreign apps - especially when national security is compromised.

perhaps highly regulate it somehow to prevent data from going "back home to China"
