The last I checked a lot of white people went and killed a lot of other white people to free those slaves and crippled the country in the long run. Are the people who saved some long past dead slaves responsible? Shouldn't they be your heroes? Reparations from who? The 400k or so dead people who owned slaves? A large portion of which died in said war. Shouldn't the black people owe the northern whites for saving them? Can we get northern white reparations from the former slave's descendants? I think all those dead northerners is more than payment for any sins of a small fraction of the long dead southern population.

People like to leave out half the conversation and distort the other half.
