It's not a poem, it's a song from Drawn Together comedically exaggerating how the system exploits black people for its own gain, but making a serious point about how certain groups treat the black community.

The recent corporate pandering and hijacking of black issues makes it extremely relevant IMO.

So you don't think that the Democrats have had any effect on the black community?

You think the destruction of the black family unit has no effect on the choices and opportunities of the individual?

The fact remains they have been used to their own detriment by certain groups as a political tool and had their communities destroyed by Democratic policies and welfare dependence.

While I am sure it is not your intent, your position implies that black people are inferior and naturally pre-deposed to crime and poverty. I do not accept that.

I too understand where you are coming from, but I see it slightly differently.

True, Democrats are not able to stop people working hard and gaining success and indeed plenty of black people do just that.

However when you grow up with no positive male influence, surrounded by' crabs in bucket' mentality and tossed into schools that allow shitty behaviour and lack of respect for learning becasue 'it is your culture' your chances of success in life are most certainly reduced.

Yes, this can be blamed on the individual to some extent, but a large portion must be levelled at the cities and policies providing these harmful things. Humans have to be taught good habits by their parents and those parents are being compromised by Dem policies and the 'racism of low expectations' as well as endless programs aimed at keeping blacks on welfare.

The way I see it is this:

People, regardless of race, do better when they come from stable, employed families.

Democrat policies and cites have directly harmed the black family unit by providing 'gibs' and detrimental social policies without thought to the detrimental effect they have.

I think we agree like 95% here, we are just differing on levels of responsibility.

By the way, thank you for a calm and reasoned discussion. It is fine to disagree on stuff and too much of the time these things devolve into aggressive slanging matches. It is refreshing to just talk.
