As a kid, I was often mistaken for Puerto Rican. One time I was standing in a photo between a dark black guy (Harry) and my father. People said “I didn’t know Harry had a son”.
So.. if discrimination is a function of skin color, how is that going to work for me? Where is my government cheese?
Right. Is it just skin color and not ancestry? What about black albinos? Their skin is whiter than mine. If you make it ancestry though, it would only be 4% of the population or something. And what do you do about people like me whose grandparents--both sets--came to the US after slavery was abolished? The concept makes as much sense as the last 2 seasons of GoT
