Trump is one of the few things holding the free world together. Even if people out here in the wopwops have chosen to forget it, the US, for all its virtues and defects, remains the ringleader of that world, whether anyone likes it or not our fates are intertwined.
The UK has sunk from its days of ending the slave trade to an authoritarian nanny state, it's mostly lost its centuries long cultural struggle between liberty and authoritarianism. Other nations that valued personal freedom in recent history are either too small (eg Australia) or too surrounded by bad neighbours (eg Poland having the Germans/EU on one flank and the Russians on the other) to stand long without a strong US across the sea to keep the vultures afraid.
If any of our ideals are to survive, at least in the near future, we'll owe it to the will of the American people. God bless.
This is why there are so many people around the world, like me, who support and defend YOUR constitution. I'm in Canada, but it makes no difference. If America falls, we're all fucked irreversibly. People think this is just one thing, or another but it's not. It's eternity. Its your kids' kids' kids' kids.. they'll be SO fucked (interpret this how you will, but I'm not a raving lunatic, I'm a realist. The technocracy of the near future will enslave your children and you'll be helpless) that humanity may never actually see something the likes of which we have now.
A free society. A Trust based society.
Western morals, values, traditions, beliefs..
We're all the vanguard and last remnants of a glorious past and it's on our shoulders to preserve and defend it. Whether through fucking off to our own planet, or salvaging what's left of this one.
Aye. I don't want the US to have to be everyone's shield, it's a travesty that people here expect US soldiers to die for them and then have the cheek to bitch about them, but the USA has to survive as a nation. Its existence is a beacon for these ideals (and it keeps the Chinese and co from steamrolling us).
Ultimately what happens to the rest of the west and its allies is up to each country individually, but without the US standing strong there isn't anyone to counterbalance countries like China and before it the USSR and the Reich, there wouldn't be a free world.
I'm still appalled the EU leadership clearly would choose Iran over the US if it could get away with it.

I totally agree with you, 100%
