10 admitted to the ICU in the last 7 days, 138 hospitalized.

The Health Ministry uses contact tracing to limit outbreaks.

My observation: People generally comply with mask rules and they wear gloves and/or sanitize hands when they enter a building. Starting to see my elderly neighbors in the street again.

Yeah, masks and gloves don't take a respiratory virus down to basically zero deaths. You're looking at the effects of herd immunity.

That's possible, but the Health Ministry has been conducting an ongoing study and only 5% of the general population have antibodies (10% for all health care workers in a different study).

edit to add the link to Lancet

Then the virus has mutated to become basically a cold. You don't eradicate a virus that is this contagious through cloth masks and gloves. That's like saying that wearing crucifixes eradicated the virus

Masks and gloves are preventing people from doing the traditional kiss kiss greeting, for which I'm grateful, lol.

The hospitals were slammed in the beginning. Part of the requirement for reopening was to have X beds per thousand. It's good that they haven't been needed.

It's been 7 days since the border opened to the EU. We shall see what happens next.
