I learned this from the greatest tv show of all time. Tony never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

Half of changing the world is creativity/inventiveness and the other half is business skills which can be fairly cutthroat. You can be the most creative person in the world, but if you have no idea how to spread your ideas there will never be an impact from them.

Thomas Edison, for example, gets a lot of hate, but he was able to popularize many of the cutting edge technologies of his time.

11
vote_for_MAGA_2020 [S] 11 points ago +12 / -1

Yeah, I was considering doing a post for Edison too, but I didn’t want to start the Tesla/Edison debate.

Same for the Wright brothers. Allegedly someone else came up with powered flight before them. But, they were the ones that patented it and packaged it. So I give them credit.

6

Santos Dumont invented the airplane!

That's what we are taught in school here. It's pathetic and most people accept it as truth. We're just a bit more advanced in using education as an indoctrination tool.

kkkkkkkk pls come to brasil mr bell

2

I forgot his name but I was refering to the debate between who was the first man to fly a plane where the debate is on if the Wright brothers really flew or glided.

I can't wait to see who's featured tomorrow! Could it be Neil Armstrong, the first white man on the moon? Jack Kilby, first white man to invent the integrated circuit? Amazing that white people did good stuff! It's almost like, it's okay to be white.

I like AG Bell for his work with the deaf. Married into a deaf family and this guy is a hero in our family. He's a villain to the militant identity politics Deaf people tho, which is full of LGBTXYZ folks - go figure.

Praise Bell, but fuck Philo Farnsworth.

7

I mean, Farnsworth invented the tv, but also helped develop the nuclear bomb. I feel like there’s a connection there.

6
Shhhhhut_the_hell_up 6 points ago +6 / -0

He wasn't a true Farnsworth, mind you.

6
K-Harbour 6 points ago +6 / -0

Farnsworth made one fatal strategic error....

....he tried to keep the video signal inside the bandwidth of an AM radio station signal. (Less than 10 kilohertz wide....the old fashioned tv’s needed 6 megahertz...today, even with compression, we use 1 to 6 million bits per second)

....broadband high frequency amplifiers were needed to be developed

....the frequencies used for old fashioned tv were practically impossible before WWII

....but, if he would have been able to cobble together broadband high frequency circuits for even one demo, he might have changed the course of history

I suspect looking at Scotland now that we got all the good Scotsmen ... they all emigrated to America.

9
Tellsyouhow 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'm left behind.

We are ruled by a Nationalist Party that wants to be ruled by Europe. They encourage the Braveheart spirit of nationalism but divert public passion into lefty bullshit and the majority of "Nationalists" fall for it.

5
NvJohansson 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well, we still need somebody to stay back to distill Laphroaig. Thank you for your service.

5

From what I understand watching American Heroes Channel (seriously, get it if you can), walkie talkies were the precursors of cellphones. I'm probably splitting hairs with this point, though.

Time to get rid of the racist phones. Obama phones are literally white supremacist weapons of terrorism!

2

The cell phone is a product of white colonial imperialism and we should stop using them.

OP, thanks for the information. I always thought that Apple invented the phone.

This leads to children always wanting to know what apps you have on your phone when they are bored.

That’s a myth. A black man did NOT invent peanut butter.

1
SaladBin 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just found a few dozen ways to utilize peanut oil. Which is great. But since they ignore George Washington Carver I'll nominate that the Whites get him in the next draft. Damn I love that sketch.
