It’s almost like Hispanics and blacks are not a monolithic voting block... oh, and Hispanics have very little tolerance for blacks in general.

80
Italians_Invented_2A 80 points ago +86 / -6

Blacks definitely are a monolithic voting block. Only around 7 % of blacks voted for Trump in 2016.

For reference, 15% of Muslims voted for Trump.

40
JoePCool14 40 points ago +40 / -0

To be honest, that's impressive that 15% of Muslims would vote for him.

42
Italians_Invented_2A 42 points ago +45 / -3

Why wouldn't a Muslim vote for Trump?

If his primary concerns are to pay lower taxes, not having his children taken away by LGBT predators in schools, and not be blown up by Muslim terrorists, then it's reasonable for a Muslim to vote for Trump.

It doesn't help that there are tons of people on here that strongly dislike Muslims. I don't understand it - those of us who follow Abarahamic faiths should stick together. We have much more in common than we have with the atheist pedophiles.

-2

No I'm saying he called for a complete muslim immigration shutdown in 2015 but then toned it down later.

Spez: getting downvoted for facts. What is this, reddit? Here's another fact. Trump was right.

8
TrainerBill 8 points ago +9 / -1

What's wrong with a complete muslim immigration shutdown? You realize there are 1.2 billion muslims and half of them are radicals who hate America?

1
TheMoreYouKnowOkay 1 point ago +3 / -2

To be fair, his initial talk regarding a full Muslim ban was just to get people riled up. After he became president, he only actually banned those from countries that are dangerous (regardless of religion). He didn't ban Indonesia for example.

3

LizardPerson -3 points ago +2 / -5

This is true. Honestly I'm not sure why so many people on here dislike Muslims. They should be some of our closest allies.

5
Italians_Invented_2A 5 points ago +6 / -1

Because their religion is based on conquering the whole world and either convert, or enslave, or kill all the infidels of the planet.

This is proved by their sacred texts, and by the death penalty for non Muslims that is given in several Muslim countries.

So no, as a collective they are an existential threat.

Lots of Muslim business owners. I bet in the dipshit Sharia law demo he polled at close to zero. A lot of other Muslims aren't like that, though. If they're a business owner they're already used to thinking critically and are sick of the government stealing the product of their labor.

He’s saying Hispanics and blacks together aren’t a monolithic voting block. They’ve just happened to vote similarly last few years (except for our based Cubans). But as soon as it becomes racial, Hispanics will look to distance themselves and definitely don’t think blacks deserve preferential treatment over them. Hispanics certainly don’t want to pay blacks reparations.

2
tholins 2 points ago +2 / -0

What I’m saying is that black and Hispanics together do not equal one monolithic voting block.

1
CannonballJunior 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wasn't it actually a little shy of 9%? Definitely 8.something. Depending on how effective the campaign is I think he could get 14-15% in November.

1
Italians_Invented_2A 1 point ago +2 / -1

It depends on the figures, exit polls Vs surveys etc. I saw as low as 6%.

No way in hell Trump gets more than 10% of blacks. It's a pipe dream of conservatives who can't accept that black people are tribal and vote for race. Biden is more popular among blacks than Hillary, and with this BLM stuff he'll get more votes.

1
CannonballJunior 1 point ago +1 / -0

Everything I've seen says 8% or over 8%. Disagree that it's "a pipe dream" for him to get over 10% of black vote. He only needs to add 2% more for that. Not unrealistic at all.

0
Italians_Invented_2A 0 points ago +1 / -1

So you don't think that this BLM mobilization will turn into many more blacks who didn't vote in 2016 to show up and vote against "racism"?

What do you base your predictions on?

1
CannonballJunior 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not all blacks buy into blm. Some know it's marxist.

I base my "prediction" on observations and hunches. Same as you.

-1
Italians_Invented_2A -1 points ago +1 / -2

The 89% of blacks support BLM, come on. This is a research that I've read.

1
H_Guderian 1 point ago +1 / -0

But you showed basic human decency in not ruining a man's life. Who knows who else depends on him for his income, who he supports. Who knows whose son, husband, father, brother he is. The Democrats are so fucking stupid that they believe pushing for amnesty and all sorts of benefits for illegals will help them dominate the Hispanic vote. The vast majority of legal Hispanic immigrants, or those who have been here legally for generations, have little to no tolerance for border jumpers. Why the hell should they? The Dems are so obsessed with identity politics that as time goes on they will continue to lose many Hispanics who consider themselves socially conservative and fiscally moderate.

7
123breadman 7 points ago +8 / -1

I don't think they will. Many Mexicans have conservative values, but have been voting Democrat for so long.

Many Mexicans I have talked to said they support Democrats because Bill Clinton gave illegals amnesty. So wrong.

3
Toohershat 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah unfortunately many voters are like that, but Trump can greatly improve his support base if he can make some solid inroads with the Hispanic vote. Even improving by 5-10% over 2016 can be huge.

They don’t buy this communist bullshit either, most work blue collar jobs.

Tbh, we should start cutting any fluff and speeding up citizenship process faster. I know TheDonald hates illegal immigration, and so do I, but having to wait 10 years to become a citizen, I can see why people take the illegal approach. Hell, we need more jobs in government to spees shit up (the DMV comes in mind)

Why must we take all comers? Do those of us here have any say as to the number and quality of immigrants?

The US has had zero immigration before, it's time to have another breather and assimilate those who are here already

You want more immigration and more government workers? Are you sure you're in the right place?

They are unfortunately. If white men were taken out of the voting equation in 2016.....Hillary and democrats would be destroying the country right now and you would perhaps no longer recognize much of it.

2016: Texas was the ONLY 'majority minority' of five such states, to NOT vote Hillary in.

2018: Mid-terms - demographics pretty much same same!

In 2020: demographics pretty much s_____ s______

Screw the hype. If more non-white voters don't figure things out in a big fucking hurry, America will simply be lost this century.

1
Onplanet 1 point ago +3 / -2

I think the point is that they are figuring it out. But more than that, it's always been silly how people say that "it can't be done, they will always vote blue"

Maybe it'll take time, but IMO it's way too dismissive to group all dem voters as mindless drones no matter which race they are.

I would rather we try to win them over than give up on their support completely because of this belief that demographics determine everything - and that we are somehow powerless to change that.

6
Grond999 6 points ago +6 / -0

this belief that demographics determine everything

This is decades worth of stats and factamundos! TEXAS IS TRENDING towards BLUE FFS! This is NOT a "belief".

I don't blame ppl who don't have a British or European legacy for not giving too much of a fuck for 'freedom of speech' etc....when all they can see is money to be had, and moving their greater families closer to that.

The irony is, America is on the ropes. There is no time to screw around. Roger Stone said recently, America is dead if Trump loses this coming election. I believe Stone is correct. When the Dems get back into power, they are going to hit back so hard the RINOsaur Party won't know what hit them.

2
DonutDog 2 points ago +2 / -0

it's always been silly how people say that "it can't be done, they will always vote blue"

I hate this mindset too - one, it's stupid to assume that opinions can't be changed - I have no doubt that there are dozens if not hundreds of thousands of Hillary 2016 voters who will vote for Trump in 2020. Two, it's stupid and discriminatory to assume that everyone of a certain race/gender/class etc will vote the same way - that's just as bad as Biden assuming he's got the black vote by default. He lost more voters than he gained because of that dumbass comment.

1
MAGAholic 1 point ago +2 / -1

" I have no doubt that there are dozens if not hundreds of thousands of Hillary 2016 voters who will vote for Trump in 2020."

And you will have a similar amount that didnt vote that will vote against him

"it's stupid and discriminatory to assume that everyone of a certain race/gender/class etc will vote the same way - that's just as bad as Biden assuming he's got the black vote by default. He lost more voters than he gained because of that dumbass comment."

Its decades of data. It is not an assumption. White men naturally lean conservative. Non white men dont. It sucks but thats how it goes.

No one will remember bidens comment in 4 months. No one remembers it now.

1
DonutDog 1 point ago +1 / -0

I agree with you on all counts. I suppose what I'm saying is that it's a dangerous game for a politician to play to assume that they've got a particular demographic in the bag. Trump has done plenty for black Americans... lowered unemployment, lowered poverty rate, police accountability EO... what has Biden done? Absolutely nothing, he just has vague plans that he can't even verbalize (or remember). He just assumes he has the black vote just by virtue of who he is.

And sure, most of them will follow history and vote for Biden against their best interests. But not all of them. If Trump has done enough to convince just 2-3% of that electorate to vote for him, that could mean the difference between winning a county and losing it. If that happens in enough counties, it could potentially swing the state.

0
MAGAholic 0 points ago +1 / -1

I agree with what youre saying as well.

The issue is the majority of Americans, regardless of skin color, arent on TD everyday. They see what the news says, facebook says, google says, the media says. Orange man bad. All the good things trump did for America and black America didnt do jack shit for the black vote in 2018.

The average voter is dumb and isnt going out of his way to research things. Which is why we, conservatives, have an uphill battle. We dont own the schools, the internet, the media, the social media, Hollywood, etc. Our side, the truth, is covered from the leftists.

Hoping the black community wakes up this election tho
