"Trying to let the cops know" is prima facie bullshit; how do I know? Because I've had a fucking grand mal seizure and I can tell you I didn't have a fucking clue what was going on for a solid twelve hours afterwards. I wasn't trying to tell anyone shit. Your brain spazzes out. You aren't having a fucking conversation with the cops about it.
Very few victims of seizure are even conscious or aware during the event. Almost none recall any part of it. And the post ictal phase is like you said, a period of absent or flat affect.
Had one in December, don't even remember falling. I vaguely remember the EMTs checking me over in my room, and some of the trip to the hospital. Apparently I have epilepsy but thanks to COVID they haven't verified the diagnosis with an MRI (EEG showed it right before Covid measures went in place).
Edit: Got EKG and EEG missed up. My EKG got canned as well as the MRI thanks to COVID.

Eh, I haven't had one since and am on anti-convulants. I did mean EEG and not EKG/ECG, which I was supposed to get to recheck some tests I got after my first faint about 4 years ago (much shorter time being blacked out and no convulsions). At the time they thought it was something to do with the heart.

I'm pro prison-reform but not pro dumbasses-fighting-cops. I think the sentences are too long by 40-60% in most cases, but the conditions of confinement aren't terrible, the cops are pretty fair, and even prison guards aren't all bad. Even judges are often limited to sentencing guidelines although they are more-than-not pretty overzealous. The DAs are pretty scummy IMO.
Look up sentence disparities by gender to see how much we really care about the crime vs. who is doing it. I think men commit more crimes, so there would always be more male prisoners, but they shouldn't do more actual time for the same crime. Also I think felonies are double-jeopardy but hey one thing at a time, I guess.

I had an anonymous account on Reddit, aside from my main account that I use to connect with people in my industry (potentially the only positive reason I use Reddit), and I used my anonymous account to reply in /r/politics correcting people and highlighting misinformation. You can’t imagine how much negativity and downvotes I’d receive - none of them, NONE like to be corrected with facts. None. In fact, they’d all melt when you’d prove them otherwise.
I believe my anonymous account got so negative in karma that Reddit shadowbanned my main account, because I can post/comment but never get upvotes/replies - and I used to get tons, because I typically helped industry people.
This was a recent observance since everything went down with Reddit.
