I'm starting to lose a little hope fellow pedes. I thought for sure that logic would prevail and that people would see that covid wasn't as big a deal as made out to be. Instead, my county just announced a mandatory mask order.
I'm so tired of feeling like my household is the only one standing up against a barrage from my government, my church (mandatory masks), my social media feed, and my friends. When did people stop thinking for themselves?
I'm voting for Trump this fall because even if I don't believe he's perfect, I believe that God gave him a job to do and he's doing the best job I've ever seen. Before March 12th, I was at 100% likely Trump win in a landslide. Now? Based on the extreme capitulation I've seen from nearly everyone around me, I wonder if they would vote for Stalin if they were told that it was "loving your neighbor" or "would save one black person from police brutality".
Agreed, they try this demoralisation tactic everywhere in the west, they did it with Brexit too, hell they even did it with NZ's last pm and he was centre-right. I'm not in America but a guy I met here recently was so relieved when he met me because he felt like the only one in the entire country that felt the way he did. There are just enough useful idiots in many places to give the illusion of being alone in a sea of insanity. The harder and louder they fight, the more desperate they are.
Mind sharing a little context on how bad 1968 was?
