N95 single use masks are 95% effective. That is assuming they are handled properly and disposed of after one use.
People wearing the same masks over and over and putting them on with dirty hands negates most of the positive effects. It's more of a placebo effect than anything.
We are using the single use surgical masks. We throw them away after leaving the store and sanitize our hands before removing the mask. I feel like Monk
They definitely aren't cheap but our Walmart has been selling them locally in 50 packs. We just try to minimize trips to public places. We worked remotely for the 1st two months then came back to the office. Everyone thankfully keeps their distance and sanitizes regularly. It's about the best we can do.

That is good proper mask handling. I cannot afford to buy that many, I haven't missed a day of work since the outbreak started.
