You need prisons, but those for profit prisons are absolute scum.

That's a leftist red herring they try to use to justify making crime legal. Private prisons represent a tiny proportion of overall prisons, and have approximately the same overall outcomes.

8.5% ain't that tiny. How the fuck does that statement try to justify making crime legal? You go against the state law, you should go to state prison.

8.5% is by definition tiny, yeah. If you got 8.5% of the vote, it'd be called a historic blowout. And that's what makes it a red herring. Same thing as "BLM", when they focus on less than a dozen police killings and ignore thirty seven thousand gang killings.

For profit prisons are an abomination that should have never been considered. However, they are a lot less common than most people think (barring a couple states who at like 80% private which seems nuts).

Snake Plissken is coming back a third time and this time, he's pissed.

Right on schedule. Not only does BLM want to dismantle and defund the police, they also want to abolish prisons.

California's corrections union is the most powerful in the state or as powerful as SEIU. I doubt they would just layoff union workers, it is California by the way.

"Budget cuts?" kalifornia bleeds its residents dry like no other state. How can they try to justify releasing criminals from jail by invoking "budget cuts?"
