Sounds like it’s ripe for a class action. No reason you shouldn’t get a pro rata refund for unused service.
And if you're suing, I think you can try padding your time invested in the game as part of the compensation (Level Grinding is the not fun part and many spent like 40+ hours in anticipation of the high level battles only to be banned), even if you're not a snowflake that wants $2000 for your hurt fee fee like leftists and SJWs do.

I remember getting banned from chatlog once in a game. For comments. I sent an email asking for the list of words that are bannable. I asked if it was a list I just had better FIGURE out? So there is X number of words that if you say them, get you banned? Sounds like a terrible business decision. I completely get that. I use to play mobile rts app games. Was extremely competitive and would even say I took it alittle too far. But overall, I get my kicks from the story driven open world rpg games now. No censoring my thoughts and speech. No bans. No nothing except maybe some shitty writing here and there.

Oh for sure. I don't buy the "perks" or "starter packs" either. I used to grind for all my stuff. The hard way. Out of the 5-6 games I use to play on apps I might have spent money on 1, and even then it was probably like a cple dollars. Most the games I played had an icon by your name and if you spend money it changes. I loved having the badass heros and prizes and still have my non-money spent icon.

tbh, I think i'm just going to walk away from any games I was spending any time on. I recently got interested in painting miniatures and might try to do some Warhammer 40k seeing as the community is a lot better. Also I'll actually have something to show for my work and meet real people instead of being drowned in soy tears on the daily. It's like giving reddit VoIP and its giving me fucking brain cancer.

I used to tabletop 40k at a local gameshop, among many many other games, and you're correct, it just became impossible to go there. It was actually gaming, about 5 years ago, that showed me just how bad things were getting. I watched a girl lose a MtG match, and then instead of shaking hands and moving on I watched her pretend to start shaking/crying and then claim that she was sexually assaulted during the match by her competitor, in front of dozens of people. She was automatically believed, even though the circumstances made her claims impossible, and she was moved to the final round, bypassing several qualifying rounds. The guy was asked to leave and permanently banned from the store. No investigation, no defense, nothing. This wasn't even some weirdo off the street, this was a guy that showed up every week and spent hundreds of dollars in that place. He didn't have some long history of being a creeper or anything. The owner then had the guy banned from all sanctioned play via WotC. This 20-something kids whole world just wiped out.
That was gameshops 5 years ago, I hate to think what they're like now.
