Wait until they realize that there are car accidents everyday across the country. Maybe they will ban driving vehicles until there are no accidents ever again!
Already seen campaigns in certain areas to drop speed limits down because a few pedestrians were struck. Nevermind that in most of those cases speed wasn't even the issue but either the pedestrian or driver not paying attention and all of the cases were during left or right turns. One politician proposed a speed limit of about 12 mph... a number that's still higher than the total pedestrians struck on a yearly basis.
People who have a compulsive need to complain will find something to bitch and moan about.
