I refuse to play their little game simply by only buying essentials in person, and limiting discretionary spending to online. I haven't shopped in a retail store since they re-opened unless I NEEDED a item. For example i needed new shoes and went out to buy ONLY shoes and passed up any other items I may have wanted.
Same with dining, if you want to make me wear a diaper over my face to walk to a table in the parking lot, It is not worth it for me to spend money to eat out.
I think im going to start doing this as well. When stuff opened back up, my husband and I wanted to "stimulate" our economy by going out to eat, get drinks and shop. But like you are saying the thanks we get is long lines because stores are at capacity, long wait times because they only fill restuarants to half capacity and now instead of signs that say "please wear a mask" they say " no mask, no entry". I totally agree with you, i dont even own a business and this shit upsets me... why arent business owners more vocal about this? This is going to destroy them and they are willingly feeding into it! Shopling sucks. They dont want you to touch anything, try anything on. As a woman who loved to shop, this has really made me depressed.
