No matter how much cognitive dissonance someone has, when people go around chanting "abolish the police" you know damn well some of them will break out of it and realize they'd be screwed without some sort of self defense and this lockdown has made people really appreciate, whether they know it or not, the ability of capitalism to keep shelves full of everything so you get access to something on your own desire, not entirely dependent on supply chains trying to catch up.
I was wondering if this is a natural occurrence or something more sinister
Everyone wants ammo
I bought 3k rounds of russian steel 9mm in late January. I wish I would have bought 10k.
Everyone wants ammo, and lots of it.
Many people are hoarding it now.

Probably some of both.
