Seriously, I don't understand white people that adopt black babies. WHY DO THEY DO IT? It's fucking insane man. Why the hell would a white family ever adopt a black baby? It's all virtue signaling.

It's natural to want a child that looks like you. I guess Kaep is pretty light skinned so maybe he passes in that regard...but it's still fucking weird. I don't trust any white people that adopt black babies, I just assume they are crazy.

Like I would never adopt a white baby, I want kids that look like me. When my daughter was born she came out super lightskinned and I was like wtf where is the dna test at? Where is my baby with brown skin that I ordered (she darkened up as she got older), I want my children to resemble me. I assume every normal person does as well...it's only natural.

Not always the case. I know multiple families that have adopted outside of their race because their intentions first and foremost were to try and help improve the life of a child.

Yeah this is pretty much it. Adoption is an insanely difficult process, first of all. Second, there's TONS of shady shit that goes on (in adoption agencies from literally all countries, including the U.S. [but it's obviously worse in places like Russia, many Asian countries [China was particularly bad during their 1 child policy]).

That said, my aunt tried for years to have children and just couldn't, so they decided to adopt. They didn't just concretely determine "we want a ____ baby," --- they just wanted kids, and now with adopting, wanted to make sure they were helping a child/family in need. In the end, they ended up adopting 3 from Korea over a ~6 year span. These are my cousins that I've known my whole life, but yea, it wasn't like they made some decision to choose a particular race or babies from a particular country. After the first, they continued adopting from Korea more just because 1. it kept a kind of consistency they felt would be good for the first that they adopted, and 2. they had already developed the necessary connections w/ the adoption agency so it made the process a bit easier.

My fiancee and I have always talked about "what if we can't have kids," and she's all for adopting. I'm admittedly not so sure. I can imagine a life with or without kids to be honest (but she can't), and while I definitely do want us to have kids, if we are unable for whatever reason, I'd kind of take that as God's way of saying, perhaps, that it just wasn't meant to be. Hopefully it'll never come to that, we're going to start trying pretty soon, once things (hopefully) start to calm down a bit

And I bet the families you know let the fact be known to anyone that will listen "I have a black child I'm raising": they claim bragging rights and tolerance points every chance they get. Money is usually the motive of do gooders- there's money in taking in a minority "project." More people became billionaires with the "war on poverty" and "diversity " than by any other cause in history. Even the blood families of mixed race children claim bragging rights.

I was adopted in 1978. My parents sure as fuck were not virtue-signaling, dummy. Have you ever thought that not everything is virtue-signaling because you don't agree with it or do it yourself?

Not sure of your stance on abortion, but it's kind of hypocritical if you're pro-life, but wary of adoptions. White babies are in extremely high demand. In the 70's and 80's black and mixed race kids were not. I was extremely lucky to be adopted at age 2, especially in the 70's.

It's because 70%+ of the country is white and people want babies that look like them. I'm not wary of adoption as a concept at all, I'm not sure where you got that from.

Also, it's stupid as fuck to insert your singular personal experience into a macro level discussion. Single cases and outliers (perhaps what you experienced) are irrelevant when we are talking about group behaviors.

Nope, been here since day one and you are just wrong. Now do some white people go out of their way to adopt anyone other than white? Darn right. Ever since that dumb ass Angelina Jolie touted those asian kids there's definitely been an uptick in the virtue signalling of adopting a none white. That being said, most people looking to adopt realize we are ALL children of God, no matter the race, and they want a baby to raise into a good man or woman. I highly doubt Kaps parents were virtue signalling.

Whoah! Not sure how to respond. People r people black white or candy stripe. But i love the different races. I sleep well at night knowing nerdy kids invented the weapons that tough kids take into battle to defend us all. Black and white on both sides. Diversity is strength when properly applied.

Diversity is strength

In what world? There is no strength in diversity, only in unity.

It's not about loving people for being people, we are talking about raising a child and the natural aspect of wanting offspring that resembles you and your mate. These are two complete different topics.

Diversity only works when people have the same values and compatible cultures.
