This is racist. Here’s why: just days before this vote, a high-profile Black man announced his bid to run for president. Kanye West, though not on the ballot is iconic enough to be able to draw a considerably high write-in vote count.

Choosing to hide the count from the public prevents Kanye from accurately seeing his support and may discourage him from running and becoming the first black republican president.
