43 US Army submitted a request to manufacture 138 MILLION rounds per year of small arms ammo completely separate from our normal Lake City plant. The one that kept up with the entire war on terror. Ask yourself what scenario requires that much additional ammo. Enough that there is new surplus on the market. This is well above and beyond what the US can use alone. Think wayyyyyy bigger. permalink save report block reply ▲ 9 ▼ – deleted 9 points 283 days ago +9 / -0 ▲ 4 ▼ – deleted 4 points 283 days ago +4 / -0 ▲ 3 ▼ – BaronFalcon [S] 3 points 283 days ago +3 / -0 Again, our current capacity can more than keep up with that, especially considering how much the wars have run down. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 4 ▼ – deleted 4 points 283 days ago +4 / -0
