everyone talks like a southerner or black person all of the sudden. saying black folks- or even the cringier "black folk," queer folk, etc. it's just a cringe way to talk about it sounds like you're elevating the group. in addition, stop saying "y'all" as well if you do that.
i mean, what makes them "folks," exactly and not people? it just sounds like modern political terminology or obama-speak to me.
It's mostly when I see or hear people using it that it's uber cringe. Comes across as leftist speak and is almost always a white liberal using the term.
People, people please. Enough with the "folks" term already.
Whats wrong with it?

Oh ok, well I am a southerner so i guess that’s why it doesn't sound strange or cringe to me... I see your point though.
