My favorite part was when they said whites must give up guaranteed physical safety and expectations or presumptions of emotional safety.

Off the top of my head, the "logic" here is that black/brown people don't enjoy these things, so why should white people? This idea falls flat because no one is guaranteed any sort of safety, as proven daily in this wonderful place called The Real World. Most people can accept this as a consequence of existing and learn to get on with their lives instead of letting irrational victimhood be our defining characteristic.
