Guy was busted for getting massages and jacked off by 13 to 18 year old boys in Laos, according to the DOJ press release/complaint. The boys were not slaves, they were already "free".

Not that it matters much, but the youngest was 13, not 12. And my definition of slavery and yours apparently is very different. Should the guy have a 12 or 13 year old jack him off? No. Was it slavery? No.
The part to me that is interesting is that the words "sex trafficking" are in the DOJ release, but no information that supports that charge is given. Not saying they don't have the evidence - but the guy may have been doing a LOT more that the DOJ is not talking about. I suspect this, as I'd be surprised the US DOJ would be involved in a relatively simple crime. That could lead to much bigger news later.
