I have a 30 ft flag pole that I haven't been able to use since the rope broke. I want to get my new rope through the roller at the top so I can fly the flag next to my America hating neighbor. However I cannot find a good way to do it so it's just not gotten done.

It's near the house so I can get about 15ish feet up and close to the pole. Anyone got a trick to do this?

A buddy of mine had to do this and found it on Youtube. It took a little while but he said it did work. He was doing it from a ladder that he had near the flagpole.

I can stand on my roof to do this too. It's leg length distance from roof.

That should make it much easier than from the ground. Have someone behind you just to help guide the pipe and steady you.

Home Depot has 10 foot lengths of lightweight 1/2" EMT for $3.16. You would have to get two sections and cut and join. Apparently, this inexpensive EMT is easy to cut.
