I know a die hard lib who was red pilled when this happened during the women’s march. Basically, two white women had the idea and did all the work only to be pushed out when it got really big. The press wanted more diversity so the boring white worker bees were replaced by, IIRC, Linda Sarsoor(sp?) (a pro jihadist), and a former black activist implicated in some terrorist act or cop killing or something.
Ironically, what pissed off the girl I know wasn’t that someone who thinks women should be forced to wear burkas and who thinks Christian women who refuse to convert (infidels) should be traded among muslim men as sex slaves was now a keynote speaker at a march for WOMEN’S RIGHTS; she was just angry that two white women who did all the work were replaced by minorities for optics. She had recently been stiffed on a job opportunity under similar circumstances so she took it personal.

It's become racist harassment targeting white older women. I'm seeing increasing numbers of videos where the "Karen" has clearly been harassed and bullied to the point of getting stressed or angry about it before getting filmed for the reaction.
Such as the "dog-walking Karen", where the video makes it clear the guy had been verbally abusing her and trying to take her dog before hand.
Or the "racist road rage Karen", who just cut a guy off - But then it's clear the guy actually followed her all the way home and got out and harassed her until she had a breakdown, which he then filmed.
