I have all the good old Disney movies on DVD. You can get them cheap on eBay. All the benefit of when they produced quality entertainment, no money to the corporation.

I don't see how you can take the EP2-3 lightsaber fights and the end of Rogue One and say "Hey, you know how we have a fully trained master jedi at our disposal to confront this army? Lets puss out and say he was a ghost the entire time while the good guys run away"

Ehh, hate to break it but they made more on Episode 7 than they paid for the whole Star Wars franchise.
The reason they’re hurting is because 10 years ago ESPN was 1 quarter of their income. That’s been dropping year over year. And the parks are more than half their income. Now with no sports and no parks open, also no movies being made they are literally not generating any new income. What they’re liking about this is that instead of having to absorb all of Fox into Disney, they can just lay everyone off and keep the library of content without the liabilities.
It costs money to make those films. I believe a breakdown has been made that takes the cost of producing and marketing the films into account, and what Disney actually received (nowhere near the box office gross), and concludes they have yet to make their original investment back. And they have gone out of their way to goad and disrespect the fanbase to the point that the brand is now poison.
