The only reason they want the returns released is because half of democrats have never filed one, or taken a deduction of any kind. They wouldn't know what they were looking at, but would find some ridiculous line item that is like "ORANGE MAN TOOK A DEDUCTION FOR BUSINESS EXPENSES" and claim it some huge scandal.
They literally don't understand that you can carry losses from year to year. If you have a really bad capital year you don't have to pay capital tax until you overcome that loss, even if it takes 10 years to do so.
