Yes this is what i have been saying for years. The entertainment industry has just been the same stale bullshit because multi-billion dollar corperations milk the same cash cow for decades. It's like nobody wants to use their imagination anymore.

You're right. There's no other reason to "reboot" something old and use a different race. Just make something new. Obviously I won't be watching, and I'm sure it would not be as good as the original "Wonder Years" regardless of what race they cast.

How about the Jeffersons? Cosby (or a similar type show with no reference to a rapist)...they portrayed successful black people...can’t have that. Cosby ignored race where it was probably completely irrelevant in an upper-middle-class NYC professional family. Jeffersons addressed it head-on, but from the perspective of a successful laundromat owner with black maid and white doorman.
