This is excellent.

Not only will we be be able to hunt down the foreigners, but we'll also be able to throw the enabling leftist students, faculty and school administrators in jail for obstruction of justice and accessory to immigration fraud charges.

Isn't the F-1 visa a legal way for international students to attend school in the USA?

Yes, however the general rule is that these visas are granted so that foreign students may attend their classes in person.

At the start of the pandemic, DHS granted an exception for academic year 2020-2021 but pulled that rule earlier this week. This makes rational sense because if the classes will remain online, these students do not have to be here. Furthermore, if all these foreign students seek is the "brand-name" of attending an American Ivy, there is an abundance of options through partner programs in their home countries.

Foreign students have tracking obligations to the DHS prior to coming to the US in the form of:

  1. Informing the DHS of where the student will be attending;
  2. Where the student will be living; and
  3. Other financial reporting.

Granted, the foreigners can jump apartments but when they fail to meet that obligation, they are no longer in compliance and may be deported if captured.

Legitimate universities will adapt to comply. Remember, they were told due to corona to shut down their campuses. This is Trump shaking the tree.

Many of them are children of corrupted parents.

Normally, universities should be independent business. However this particular business has a special deal to bypass existing immigration laws by having a special category F-1 visa. Protectionism at its' best.

Until it could be proven that true diversity and tolerance of opinions is practices, no student visas for them.

14 posts and one comment on an account that is 228 days old. Over the last couple of days the same bullshit posts from multiple accounts about "what are your thoughts on F1." I think you're a troll.

Actually I decided to post on this because I was having a debate with a person I met at a park that is on a F-1 visa . I wasn't well versed so didn't do well with that debate.

F-1 is merely a backdoor (hell, a frontdoor if you're honest) to an H-1B, and has been a catalyst for replacing American workers with foreigners. The pathway is F-1, then a 1-2 year OPT where the F-1 holder basically fishes for an employer who will sponsor the H-1B, which is fked, because the employee is now basically indentured to the employer. The whole path needs to have a hard look taken at it to make it a way for students to study here without the perverse employer/employee incentives around the H-1B path. I don't see why a foreign student can't return to their country for their first years of occupational training/employment in their field of study. Essential occupations can be filled through the conventional employment immigration pathway.

Regarding the current policy, as far as I know it is consistent with existing policies re: online coursework (i.e., you can't take a fully online courseload and qualify) and thus is entirely reasonable to ask them to return.

Trump has a history of making bold statements and then walking them back a bit once the public outcry settles down. It's a classic persuasion technique. "Oh, he's not deporting all immigrants, just violent offenders? I guess that's not so bad.." etc, etc.

I think his real aim will to deport selected groups of F-1 visa holders. This may be cover to get rid of possible Chinese agents posing as students for example.

There is nothing wrong with it if there is no online classes than it violates them staying !! They are on a go to class visa not a stay here visa
