Sadly the only way to get hypocrites to oppose bad ideas is to make them suffer the consequences. Many Republicans / Conservatives are unwilling and will even interfere in any attempt to make the left live by their own horrible rules.
Cancel culture will not be a problem to the left until they start getting canceled and de-platformed.
It does happen though when a leftie leaves the plantation and posts or says something that goes against the mob. They turn on their own and devour them.
