I didn’t think much of it at first, but I’m starting to realize that it’s an effective attempt at silencing another person. If you’re okay with Karen, you’re also okay with someone calling another person “Li Ming” or “Shaniqua”. You can’t be for equality while also promoting what you are trying to fight for.

So what;s the equivalent for a black woman who behaves exactly like a Karen in every respect? Why can't she be a "Karen" too?
You mean to say calling them Oprah's wasn't accurate on my part??? :I
Why did Karen stick anyways? Why wasn't it Martha?
That's one of the great meme questions! The original one was the woman with the haircut from like 15 years ago and happened to use Karen and the rest was history! Since the meme, the name "Karen" has all but disappeared from new baby names--I always feel sorry for women named Karen. There needs to be equal opportunity for other people, male and female, to have their names ruined or else just stop this.
