I actually know 'normies' who are okay with defunding the police and many of them have a very negative view of humanity in the first places (e.g. bad people gonna bad + more bad people than good + people aren't inherently good)..

I don't understand how people actually think they're gonna be okay on their front porch with roaming criminal gangs - it defies logic. The only thing that keeps 95% of criminals from doing crime is the assurance they're going to be arrested if someone sees them or can link them back.
When you remove doubt from a criminal's mind that he can get away with it easily, he's going to indulge. It will end up with Surgeons like Escape from LA with armies of fucking up frankenstein lab assistants, and worse.
The defund the police movement (BLM) is the precise moment when I start to lose faith in humanity. Everything else you can explain away with ignorance. But this is just pure common sense. My patience ends where that degree of stupidity begins. I sincerely hope that those who want to defund the police get EXACTLY what they want so they can feel the full brunt of this decision. Then perhaps they will begin to respect law enforcement. And then no backsies. They can live in the hell that they have created.

So for the last week or two we’ve had republicans identifying democratic run cities being overrun with violence as an issue to run on “law and order”. You could see it really popping up the last few days with rising crime stats being tweeted out and shared on conservative media.
The democrats initial reaction was to frame this as “right wing media” making up this “lawless democratic city narrative”. The issue is that kids were being murdered and the stats were becoming obvious and undeniable. The Left wing radicals realized they couldn’t be painted as dangerous and lawless and have begun using the violence as two things a “trump failing” for getting out of control and to push gun violence back on the menu.

Clearly individuals with a fully functional frontal lobe, the part of the brain responsible for abstract thinking, would be able to piece together that releasing violent criminals onto the streets and demoralizing the police responsible for suppressing the criminals, will result in these criminals committing crimes.
Although I applaud the Associate Press in giving support to these differently abled journalists. I believe that it would be best if this organization separate their main publication from this effort. Perhaps we they should instead publish their word salad under a new brand, such as "Special Associated Press".
