I just finished a conversation with my boss' boss, telling me (as nice as he can) to make all my facebook posts both future and past as hidden as possible.
When I asked why, he made it clear. People are having their lives ruined by posting a maga hat and he was looking out for my best interests.
I work for a fortune 500 company, multi-national and my position is pretty damned important (only about 10 people are in my position in a huge multi-national company) and my boss' boss is warning me against having my whole life destroyed.
I can't tell if I should be mad, sad, or terrified.
The media has been successful in programming many in this country that Trump supporters are akin to jew massacring Nazi's.
We see them as delusional political opponents. They see us as dangerous monsters that must be purged. So yes, they will destroy your life and sleep like a baby.
What left doesn't seem to understand is how this will backfire on them.

I think Trump was the pendulum swinging back from 8 years of Obama. This is pretty normal. The parties seem to take turns after each president
There was Bush H, Clinton, George W, Obama, Trump. Voters vote in one party then after awhile swing back and vote the other party in
But the left went mad this time. Let's remember that Trump is really quite moderate, although they think he's far right. He would have had the same platform as Clinton 30 years ago
They have countered him being 'far right' by going far left. But this is too far for most Americans. So while the pendulum should have already started shifting back to a Democrat win in 2024, maybe it will end up with another Republican or even truly right wing president in 2024
At a minimum it will hopefully mean reelection this year
We're about to change the history of the world with this next election.
