I still wouldn't wear one. The reason they are not actually fining or arresting anyone and only threatening it, is because the law is quite clear on.....

medical issues = the virus

medical devices = the masks

and the governments role. With few exceptions the government cannot make medical decisions for you nor can it force you to buy a product. Every single case that has gone to court over masks, social distancing, being out, etc has failed in court on either federal or constitutional bounds.

I walk into several local government buildings on a weekly basis with zero mask while under a mandate they don't do shit, they dont want to have the issue go to court and have their mandate tossed.

The law is paper thin, they know it, and are leaning on the fact the population is terrified of having to spend an afternoon in court defending themselves. When they meet someone that gives zero fucks they back down.
